Borrowing documents

Borrowing documents

You can borrow documents at the library front desk by presenting your Aquipass card (UPPA and Bordeaux students) or your library card (staff and external users).

You can also borrow documents remotely before collecting it at the library front desk: more information about online loans (click and collect).

Borrowing terms

You can borrow an unlimited number of documents for 1 month (students and external users) or for 3 months (PhD students and UPPA staff) renewable twice (unless reserved by other users).

Loan Renewals

Your loan will be automatically renewed at the due date unless the item has been reserved by another user.

View your loans, reserve a document

Log in to your reader account to check your current loans or reserve books already on loan, using your UPPA login credentials.

Returning a borrowed document

You will receive a reminder by email 2 days before the due date, or as soon as another user reserves the item you have borrowed.
You can return your items at the library front desk or in the return box located just outside of the university library of your choice.

Late returns and unreturned items

Late returns will result in a suspension of your borrowing privileges until the item is returned or reimbursed.
Three reminder letters will be sent, followed by a formal notice requiring return or reimbursement.
If the item is still not returned or reimbursed, further action may be taken (disciplinary proceedings, debt collection, or a theft report).

See the fee schedule for unreturned items or equipment.
