Presentation
Missions: Decree of August 23, 2011, not modified by the 2013 ESR Law, approved by the UPPA Board of Directors on 9 July 2015.
Eight missions are assigned to the Common Documentation Services (SCD):
- Implement the university's documentation policy, coordinate the necessary resources, and evaluate the services offered to users.
- Welcome users and university staff, as well as the general public, and organize study and consultation spaces.
- Acquire, catalogue, manage, and provide access to documents and information resources in all formats.

Develop digital documentary resources, contribute to their creation, and promote their use; participate in the development of scientific and technical information (STI), particularly through the production, cataloging, and dissemination of digital documents.

Contribute to research related to these resources and take part in the university's cultural, scientific, and technical outreach activities.
- Support initiatives in undergraduate and continuing education, as well as research, through documentation services and by adapting services to meet evolving needs.
- Cooperate with libraries and institutions pursuing similar goals.
- Train users to make the broadest possible use of access techniques to scientific and technical information (STI).
