Your thesisElectronical thesis submission

In accordance with the ministerial order of 25 May 2016, as amended by the order of 26 August 2022

Procedure to be followed by the doctoral candidate

The submission of the thesis is now entirely digital and must be carried out via the ADUM platform by the doctoral candidate.

The full viva procedure is detailed on the webpage of the SSH Doctoral School – Social Sciences and Humanities.

The dissemination authorisation form (available in the candidate’s ADUM account once the viva date has been approved) must be downloaded from ADUM.
You must complete and sign it, then upload it to ADUM.
The institution will then countersign the document and re-upload it to the platform.

Please note: Following your viva, you are required to upload the final version of your thesis, along with the Electronic Thesis Dissemination Authorisation, in order to receive your diploma.
You have a maximum of three months to complete this process, whether or not your thesis is subject to corrections.

Failure to comply will result in your thesis not being listed on the relevant platforms: Thèses.fr, the SUDOC catalogue, Dart-Europe.

What happens to my thesis once it has been submitted?

When you submit your thesis, you must choose whether or not to allow its dissemination on the Internet. If you agree to dissemination, the full text of your thesis will be accessible on the following institutional platforms: theses.frThèses en ligne, and the HAL e2s UPPA portal.

In all cases, your thesis will be referenced on theses.fr, in the Sudoc catalogue (University Documentation System), and on Dart-Europe In addition, it will be securely and permanently archived at CINES (National Computing Centre for Higher Education).
